Welcome Bill.
If they are real cork not this new plasticky stuff, they make fine bass poppers and saltwater poppers providing you can find hooks the right length. I had a bunch of them but wasn't about to buy hooks just to fit them and had none that did. (The plastic corks might work. I just don't know.)
As far as patterns go, I like straight black and frog....green top/pale yellow or white bottom. _________________ "Fishing doesn't actually happen. It just goes on in your head."
