Can't just build the rods! Gotta put 'em in something!
Two of my favorites!

Hate to tell you this Betty, but Colston Newton has been storing and toting his fishing rods around in old pajama bottoms for years. Most of them are manly plaids, stripes, houndstooth checks and solid earth tones. At first we sorta wondered, but you get used to stuff like this ...after a while, kinda, yeah, ya know.... _________________ "Kill reverence and you've killed the hero in man." Well, Charlie ... if she makes some for you, you'll never get your rods mixed in with someone else's! It won't blend in with the ground, should you lay it down. And everyone will know that she loves you totally. _________________ Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away. |

What a cool idea! Just perusing all of the forums and ran across your rod socks. Wilma made a few at one time from some funky looking material but using felt is a better idea as ours were made from some stiff cotton or blend. I did use your idea of maming them distinctive through bright material and or pattern. _________________ der Alte Jäger

Yeah, don't be blaming these guys for Patti getting ideas. She made me a couple of Rod Jammies several years ago, and I called 'em that.
and Cathy made me a couple with fish on them about a year before she died. They are on rods I built for the grandsons. _________________ Tight Lines,
