"an 80% drop in liver cirrhosis risk,"

I start the day off with a cup from the home pot at 4:00 AM-ish, then have to switch to this crap that comes labeled as coffe here at the hospital. I usually switch over to water by 10-1030. Then try so very hard not to get into cocktails and such until it's 5:00PM somewhere. I knew I was one healthy livin sonofagun, this just verifies. Now where's those doghnuts??? _________________ Nearly all men can stand adversity. If you want to test a mans character, give him power.---- Abe Lincoln |

Jack,
Might be. My Dad drank a cup of strong black tea every night just before going to bed, at least well into his seventies, and my mother's morning coffee would dissolve a stainless steel teaspoon. _________________ Tight Lines,

It's hard on the sheets since it exercises your bladder but lets you sleep. _________________ "Fishing doesn't actually happen. It just goes on in your head."

It may be an Irish thing indeed when it comes to assorted stimulants. We had a farm hand, Arthur Cassidy by name, that once explained to to me that coffee, but especially tea, should be brewed strong enough...
"That a mouse could trot upon it."
A tailor in Dublin, hearing that I would be going to Bewley's Oriental Cafe later, told me to "order it strong enough to stand up a spoon in it."
Can't get by without two or three black cups every AM before anything else. Go through a 12 cup pot by bedtime. Oddly, it never keeps me awake but it will get you up at 2:30 to shake hands with the Mayor. _________________ "Kill reverence and you've killed the hero in man." (Ayn Rand, The Fountainhead)

"Good" Decaf is much better than the average cup of Joe most folks consume here in the US of A. I switched to Decaf years back, found a good one, press it in a coffee press at near Espresso stength and cut it back with either hot water, milk or cream depending on accompanying items such as pastry. At time have been known to mix up a Latte or Mocha when the mood strikes. Breakfast is two large cups of tea sometimes three. _________________ der Alte Jäger
